Trickptychon
16 mm, 4:3, colour, 2'03", cel/paper cut, stop motion Vienna 1987
Premiere: Junge Szene Wien, Secession, 1987

The film is about the stars, where we come from and where we are going, about the hustle and bustle in between and about the wanderings of souls.
Frame-by-frame animation, paper was scratched and cut on a glass plate. Individual parts were bent up and moved. Light from below. In addition, colored transparencies were used.

In the Installation in the Secession a 16mm film loop ran through three projectors. Thus three overlapping distorted pictures were projected on the walls and corners of the space. The projectors and the film itself formed a sculpture in the walk-in film space.
Digital version of the film Trickptychon was used in different installations: Heiligenkreuzerhof, Vienna 2013; galerie remixx, Graz 2013; Galerie V&V Animated Film Brooch 2014; Graf+Zyx Tank 2015; Galerie Eugen Lendl, Graz; 2016; ARK KÜLTÜR, Istambul 2016/17; Akademie Graz 2018; Schauraum, MQ, Wien 2018; Matinée im Blickle Kino, Belvedere21, Wien, with a composition by Tamara Friebel 2022
